Connect With Fisher College of Business
Immediately connect with the Business Scholars Coordinator who also serves as the Academic
Counselor for Scholars enrolled in the Fisher College of Business.
Fisher Citizenship Program activities foster personal growth, sponsor leadership development events,
and encourage first year involvement in Fisher College of Business.
Mentoring Programs: First year Business Scholars are partnered with upper-class Business Scholars and
upper-class Business Scholars have the opportunity to participate in mentoring program with Fisher alumni.

Global Environment
Business Scholars have the opportunity to travel to a national business center within the United States
to meet with alumni, visit businesses, and experience cultural events. Second Year Business Scholars have the opportunity for international exposure through a course followed by a week-long study abroad program.
The course is designed to enlighten students’ awareness of international business by including site visits
to native companies.

Why was the Business Scholars
Program created?
The Business Scholars Program has been created in order to address the high
interest among freshmen interested in business-related fields for co-curricular
programming that is closely connected to the Fisher College of Business.
Is participation mandatory?
YES! An expectation of being a member is being an active participant!
Continuation is contingent upon students meeting maintenance requirements during
the first year.
What is the Fisher College
Business?
The Max M. Fisher College of Business houses the baccalaureate program in
business which provides quality, nationally recognized opportunities for
students to develop the knowledge, skills, and global perspectives to be
effective leaders in business, government, and other organizations. The program
also provides a strong foundation for graduate or professional study. For

Can Business Scholars still apply
for Honors Programs?
YES. Business Scholars interested in honors status must complete 30
hours of course work at Ohio State, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5, and
have an interest in taking honors course work and still remain active
within the Business Scholars Program.
Do I have to live in the residence
hall?
As a first year Business Scholar you must live in Blackburn House,
unless you are commuting from home.
Do I have to participate in
off-campus trips?
While not mandatory, historically, most Business Scholars will participate in
the domestic overnight trip to a major metropolitan city. The international
study tour is limited to about 20 students. Both opportunities have additional
costs associated with participation.
Do I have to pursue a major in
Fisher College of Business to participate in Business Scholars?
No, students may apply from any academic discipline; however preference will be
given to students who intend to pursue a major housed within the Fisher College
of Business.
